When this much anticipated war-drama was released, it did not disappoint. Similar to “1917” (2019), the story follows a young German soldier who enlist in the military during World War I. Naive and inexperienced, he figured war would be something else then what he’s eventually confronted with. When faced with the reality of war, his glorification of battle quickly turns to a meaningless fight for survival. Intense, dark and brilliant, All Quiet On The Western Front is one of the best war movies of 2022.
Hustle (2022, IMDb: 7.3)
In this hoop drama, Adam Sanlder once again proves himself to be much more than the goofy comedic actor we have seen in the past. Even if you're not the biggest fan of basketball, you’ll enjoy Hustle. The story follows a basketball scout who is desperate to get back to the NBA and the big leagues. When he finds a young prospect in Madrid, he sees the opportunity he’s been waiting for. Together, they embark on a journey towards success. All in all, Hustle is a goosebump-y and uplifting story worth watching. Definitely one of the best sports movies of the year.
