The Plot
The 1970s is arguably one of the best decades in music history. The swinging rock n’ roll lifestyle is at its peak, hippies are crowding the streets and the charts are packed with hits after hits. We can’t be the only ones who would have loved to experience life on the road in the 70s. Fortunately for us, the upcoming Amazon Prime TV series ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ will give us that opportunity. Sort of.
The story follows Daisy Jones and her rock band’s rise from the LA music scene to becoming one of the most legendary bands in the world. Their music made them famous, but their cracking relationships and eventual split made them superstars. Shot in documentary style, we expect to relive the wild 1970s from the perspective of musicians at the top of the world. Exciting, right?

The fictional story is based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book by the same name. It is also said to be loosely based on the real-life romances between band members of Fleetwood Mac. Daisy Jones & The Six has won numerous book- and audiobook awards in the last couple of years, one of which was Apple’s Books’ Best Audiobook in 2019. It is safe to say that we are in for an incredible story once the TV-series premieres.

‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ is set to premiere on Amazon Prime on March 3rd, 2023.
Cast
The TV show will feature a few names you might not be too familiar with, which is exciting. Sebastian Chacon, Sam Claflin, Camilla Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Will Harrison and Josh Whitehouse will all star as part of the band. Daisy Jones will be played by Riley Keough, and maybe that name will ring a bell.
You see, Riley Keough is the granddaughter of one of the greatest musicians of all time. You might know him as Elvis Presley, but to Riley, he is grandpa. Her parents are musicians Lisa Marie Presely and Danny Keough, so…no pressure.
