The Dropout starring Amanda Seyfried is indeed a worthy winner for the Critics Choice Awards Best Limited Series. Under the Banner of Heaven (2022, IMDb: 7.5)
When Andrew Garfield is not playing Spiderman, you can watch him as the devoted detective whose beliefs are put to test following a horrendous murder case in this limited TV series. When detective Jeb Pyre investigates a brutal murder, he finds a connection between the murder and an esteemed Utah family. It’s not often that fans regard an adaptation as better than the book on which it is based, but that is the case with Under The Banner Of Heaven. This is one of our favorite series nominated at the Critics Choice Awards.
Pam & Tommy (2022, IMDb: 7.3)
Before the Kardashians, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee were the talk of the town when they married after knowing each other for just 96 hours in 1995. Lily James and Sebastian Stan star in this limited series as the famous couple, both of them showcasing their true talents as actors. Although Pamela Anderson didn’t approve of the series, we still think it’s entertaining and completely wicked. If you are looking for a crazy and whirlwind kind of romance, Pam & Tommy is the show for you.
Station Eleven (2021, IMDb: 7.6)
We strongly believe Station Eleven is one of the most underrated hidden gems released in the last couple of years. In this adventure-drama, we follow the stories of survivors who live in a post-apocalyptic world caused by a devastating flu. In the worst of conditions, they have to try and rebuild the world as best as they can. With a great cast and intriguing story, this slow burner limited series delivers something fresh to the apocalyptic-theme. In short, if you enjoy a slower paced and dramatic limited series, you’ve found the best one to watch right here!

This Is Going to Hurt (2022, IMDb: 8.4)
Hospitals are not often that fun. In fact, we try to avoid them at all costs. But working there are some of the most important everyday heroes we can think of. In this British comedy, we follow a junior doctor and his life in the Labor Ward. The lows and highs of his job is at times gut-wrenching and hilarious. This Is Going To Hurt combines drama and comedy in a brilliant way. And for some reason, series set in hospitals usually find a great audience. This show got some well-deserved recognition when it was nominated at the Critics Choice Awards. In other words, go watch it! We promise you won’t be disappointed.
Gaslit (2022, IMDb: 7.3)
Some of you might be familiar with the Watergate scandal during the 1970s. If you are not, then Gaslit is the perfect limited series for you to watch. As a history crash-course into one of the biggest political scandals in US history, Gaslit tells the story from forgotten characters and new perspectives. You’ll find yourself wishing for a better outcome, although deep down, you know this doesn’t end well. As always, Julia Roberts puts on a stellar performance. Gaslit is truly one of the best limited series released in 2022.
The Girl From Plainville (2022, IMDb: 6.3)
The Girl From Plainville is based on the harrowing true-story of Michelle Carter’s involvement in her boyfriend’s suicide case. Elle Fanning shines as the desperate teen grasping for attention wherever she can, but ultimately there is no denying that Michelle Carter’s actions led to her boyfriend's death. If you are a true-crime fanatic, this show will prove it’s worth. The Girl From Plainville is equally disturbing and thought-provoking, making it a great limited series to binge-watch.
The Offer (2022, IMDb: 8.7)
This underrated treasure will surprise you in how good it actually is. We’ve all watched and enjoyed the incredible classic The Godfather (1972) - you have watched it, right? The Offers tells the story of producer Albert S. Ruddy and his experience of making THAT movie. Yes, this story is about another story and how that story came to be. Starring Miles Teller and Matthew Goode, this limited series is a must-watch for any movie nerd. Even if you haven’t watched The Godfather (you really should), you’ll still enjoy this gem.
